The COVID-19 public health emergency has amplified the significant impact socioeconomic circumstances has on one’s health and well-being—a stark reality that is galvanizing BMC’s longstanding fight for health equity and mitigating challenges many of our patients face every day. The Center for Health Equity seeks to create sustainable change centered on social determinants of health to make certain every person has an equal opportunity to thrive.
Fundraising will allow BMC to lay the groundwork needed to launch the Center for Health Equity, helping BMC understand patients’ needs, connect patients to resources both at BMC and within the community and break down barriers to health.
BMC emphasizes community-based care, with its mission to provide consistently accessible health services to all. BMC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, tax ID number: 04-3314093.
